The EU finances EUR710,000 for two Northern mountainous provinces of Hoa Binh and Lao Cai to increase access to livelihood opportunities for ethnic minority youths. |
The project aims to provide opportunities for career development and startup initiatives for the ethnic minority youth aged 16-30 in 2 upland districts of Mai Chau (Hoa Binh) and Da Bac (Lao Cai).
It targets to enhance the knowledge and skills of ethnic minority youths to adapt to current labor market needs as well as increase access to livelihood opportunities for ethnic minority youths to become agents for change.
In addition, the project will also help improve understanding of market-based vocational training among policy makers through development, documentation and dissemination of good practices.
Aide et Action (AEA), an international non-governmental organization with its headquarter in Geneva, Switzerland. AEA, began its program in 1981 and is currently working in 19 countries across Asia, Africa and Europe.
AEA has been working in Viet Nam since 2003 in 6 provinces of Viet Nam, namely Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau and Lao Cai.
In Viet Nam, AEA focuses on main interventions including Early Childcare and Education, Access and Quality of Education, and ILEAD – Initiative for Livelihood Education and Development.
