He praised Viet Nam’s success in realizing the dual goals of pandemic containment and socio-economic development, voicing his impression at the nation’s significant achievements in external affairs, particularly as Chair of ASEAN last year and a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.
Expressing his delights at the positive developments of bilateral ties over the past 45 years, Son highly appreciated Ethiopia’s regional position and role, suggesting the two Foreign Ministries continue to promote their pioneering roles in enhancing the two countries’ friendship and collaboration, for peace, cooperation and development in the region.
During the talks, the officials exchanged measures and orientations to boost Viet Nam-Ethiopia ties in the time ahead, with priority given to increasing the exchange of delegations at all levels when COVID-19 is placed under control, expanding economic cooperation, studying collaboration mechanisms, and completing legal frameworks to facilitate bilateral cooperation.
