The new entrants are Pham Thu Huong and Pham Thuy Hang, Vice Chairwomen of Vingroup, and Ngo Chi Dung, Chairman of VPBank. Their estimated fortunes are US$3 billion, US$2.1 billion and US$1.2 billion, respectively.
The remaining five Vietnamese billionaires on the list all saw their wealth increase over the past year.
Specifically, Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, remains the wealthiest Vietnamese with US$27.7 billion, nearly four times higher than in 2025. This marks the 14th year the world's 93rd-richest person has appeared in the ranking.
The fortune of Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, chairwoman of Vietjet Air and vice chairwoman of HDBank, almost doubled to $4.2 billion.
Meanwhile, Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, saw his net worth rise 21 percent to US$2.9 billion.
Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank, made the list for the eighth time with US$2.5 billion.
Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group, has appeared for the sixth consecutive year, with a fortune of US$1.2 billion.
Huong, 57, is the wife of Pham Nhat Vuong and also serves as chairwoman of GSM, which operates the Xanh SM taxi and ride-hailing service. Pham Thuy Hang, 52, is Huong's younger sister.
Ngo Chi Dung, 58, graduated from Moscow Geological Prospecting University and holds a PhD in economics from the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to Forbes, the ranking evaluates wealth based on share prices and exchange rates as of March 1. This year, the world has a record 3,428 billionaires, about 400 more than last year, with a combined fortune of $20.1 trillion, the highest ever recorded.
The richest person in the world remains Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, with US$839 billion. He is followed by Larry Page with US$257 billion and Sergey Brin with US$237 billion. Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, dropped one position to fourth place with US$224 billion./.
