Dung Quất Economic Zone cooperates with Korean partner

VGP – The Dung Quất Economic Zone Authority (DEZA) and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX) in Ulsan in the Republic of Korea on February 25, signed a memorandum of understanding on economic development cooperation.

Under the document, DEZA will focus on setting aside an area of 50 ha for attracting investment in heavy industry and relevant supporting industries, especially petrochemistry, chemical substance, shipbuilding, industrial equipment, auto assembly…

DEZA will give prioritized locations and land rentals to investors recommended by KICOX.

KICOX will disseminate information about Dung Quất Economic Zone to enterprises in Ulsan and Korean investors elsewhere to survey and invest in the zone.

DEZA and KICOX will also create conditions for introducing and training technical cadres, and providing training courses on the Korean language to foster the economic development in the zone.

The zone currently has over 20 enterprises that are operating effectively. It is one of 15 well-performing sea economic zones in Việt Nam.
