DPRK Party delegation visits VN Agriculture Science Institute

Vice Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea of DPRK Ri Su-yong shows his interest in Viet Nam's farming techniques applied in the cultivation of food crops

The delegation was welcomed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh; Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu; and Director of the Viet Nam Agriculture Science Institute Nguyen Hong Son. 

During the working session, Ri Su-yong showed his interest in Viet Nam's farming techniques applied in the cultivation of food crops such as rice, corn and potato.

He expressed his hope that Viet Nam will further support his country in developing high-yield rice varieties.

Deputy Minister Doanh said Viet Nam looks forward to welcoming more DPRK scientists to Viet Nam for research, thus strengthening the friendship between the two countries. 

In turn, Director of the Viet Nam Agriculture Science Institute Nguyen Hong Son briefed his guests on agricultural products of Viet Nam’s strength. 

He said that this is a good chance for the two sides to share information, thus enhancing cooperation on science and technology in the agricultural field, towards promoting solidarity, friendship and cooperation in scientific research and economic development.
