DPM asks for quick inspection of procurement of test kits
VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has tasked the Government Inspectorate to promptly investigate into procurement of equipment, biological products, test kits for COVID-19 prevention and control at the Ministry of Health, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Viet A company took advantage of the pandemic to seek illegal profit. Some individuals also broke the regulations on procurement and bidding and abused their positions and power while performing duties
Ministerial and local-level inspectorate agencies were also tasked to finalize the duty on schedule at good quality. Inspection outcomes must be reported to the Prime Minister in March.
Last month, the Government leader assigned the Government Inspectorate to focus on inspecting procurement of equipment, biological products, test kits for COVID-19 prevention and control.
The Government, in its report on the COVID-19 prevention and control submitted to the National Assembly (NA) on January 4, affirmed that the Viet A Technologies JSC had took advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic to seek illegal profit.
According to the report, the wrongdoings by the Viet A Technologies JSC were serious, and the Government and Prime Minister ordered the Ministry of Public Security to investigate the violating persons.
