He expressed his hope that the Cambodian Prime Minister will continue directing relevant Cambodian ministries, sectors, and localities to foster stronger ties with Viet Nam to create breakthroughs in economic cooperation—particularly by accelerating the development of transport and logistics connectivity, remarkably the Ho Chi Minh City–Moc Bai expressway and Bavet–Phnom Penh expressway projects as well as border gates and border trade infrastructure.
He highlighted the significance of local-to-local exchanges, especially in trade, healthcare, and education, adding that defense and security cooperation should be promoted, including stepping up efforts to combat cybercrime, human trafficking, and other forms of transnational crime.
Bui called for continued efforts to find effective solutions to the remaining un-demarcated land boundary and soon sign an agreement on border gates and cross-border travel on the land border and an agreement on border management regulations.
He expected that Cambodia will continue paying attention to and expediting the granting of nationality to all eligible people of Vietnamese origin, while creating favorable conditions for their children to attend public schools./.
