Viet Nam expects to boost local-to-local exchanges with Japan

At these meetings, Pham reiterated that Viet Nam attaches importance to promoting the Extensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia with Japan.

He hoped that the two localities will strengthen people-to-people exchanges with Viet Nam and encourage their enterprises to seek investment and business opportunities in the country, thus making contribution to enhancing the two nations' economic development and recovery process.

The Deputy PM proposed the two localities increase imports of Viet Nam's farm products such as grapefruit, avocado and rambutan.

He took the occasion to express thanks to the two Prefectures for supporting the Vietnamese community in the localities to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic impacts. 

The Governors of the two Prefectures said they expect to soon visit Viet Nam to accelerate economic, trade and investment activities as well as people-to-people exchanges with Viet Nam.
