Verifying capabilities at the Lach Huyen "Gateway"
During the tour, representatives from Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal provided the delegation with a comprehensive report on the implementation progress and scale of Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal.
Designed as a smart green port, Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal is capable of accommodating container vessels of up to 200,000 DWT (equivalent to 18,000 TEU).
The project's outstanding efficiency is proven by its operational metrics: Throughput volume reached 808,000 TEUs in 2025 and 230,000 TEUs in the first quarter of 2026.
In particular, the Truck Appointment System (TAS) achieved a 100% utilization rate, significantly reducing truck turnaround time to just 16 minutes (compared to the market average of 35 minutes). This solution not only helps customers save time and costs but also contributes to reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
A representative from Hateco affirmed: "The progress and quality at Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal are the most certain evidence of Hateco's construction capabilities and commitment. With our new responsibility at Lien Chieu Port, we will bring this determined spirit, along with practical smart green port experience, to work alongside with Da Nang City in developing a regional-class super seaport."
