Da Lat welcomes first international flight in post-Covid

VGP - A charter flight of Korean Air from the Republic of Korea with 141 passengers on board arrived in Lien Khuong Airport last week, marking the first international service to the Central Highlands tourist town after over two-year closure due to COVID-19.

The tourists planned to stay in Da Lat city for five days, where they will experience golf tours and visit tourist attractions in the locality. 

Provincial authorities said there would be more international flights to Da Lat from now until the year-end as it targets to receive 150,000 foreign arrivals this year, around 35 percent of pre-pandemic levels.

Situated on a plateau around 1,500 meters above sea level, Da Lat enjoys year-round cool weather and is famous for its French colonial heritage.

The Republic of Korea had the largest number of visitors to Viet Nam at 108,000 in 2019.
