COVAX Facility allocates additional 6.27 million doses of vaccines to Viet Nam

The latest round of vaccine donation includes over 4 million doses of Pfizer from Germany, 99,450 Pfizer doses from Luxembourg, 159,120 Pfizer doses from Portugal, and nearly 2.013 million doses of AstraZeneca.

Besides vaccine donation, the four European countries pledged to stand side by side with Viet Nam in the fight against the pandemic in 2022. 

The Ministry of Health reported that so far Viet Nam received over 51 million doses of COVID-19 via the COVAX Facility. 

As of January 25, Viet Nam administered more than 177.3 million doses of COVID vaccines.

The COVAX Facility is co-led by WHO, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovations (CEPI), GAVI - the Vaccine Alliance, and UNICEF as a delivery partner./.
