The project, approved by the National Assembly on June 16, 2022, has total investment capital of VND 85 trillion.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Pham said infrastructure development is one of the three strategic breakthroughs defined by the Party.

Viet Nam targets to have around 3,000km of expressways by 2025 and the figure is expected to increase to at least 5,000km by the end of this decade.

If the Ring Road 4 is completed as planned, the goal of having 3,000km of expressways by 2025 would be feasible, according to the Prime Minister.

Pham urged the three involved localities to complete site clearance for the whole project no later than December 31, 2023.

He ordered these localities to pay great attention to building resettlement areas and provide necessary support to help relocated families stabilize their life soon.

The total cost of relocation and compensation is estimated at over VND13 trillion, including the cost of constructing resettlement areas and other costs relevant to the project./.
