Chairing the first session of the steering committee (2011-2016 tenure) on October 5, the State President said that the juridical reform has contributed greatly to national construction and development, and that constitution amendment should be given top priority.

At the session, Justice Minister Hà Hùng Cường said the steering committee should be the first to work on constitution amendments and then provide consultancy in the field for the Political Bureau. He also suggested that constitution amendment-related issues should be prioritized from now to 2012.

Chairman of the Việt Nam Jurists Association Phạm Quốc Anh proposed that the juridical reform in the 2011-2016 period should focus on reforming courts more vigorously, especially in proceedings, using the court-centered approach.
