The event, organized by the Prime Minister's Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform in collaboration with the USAID Viet Nam, draws the participation of delegates from ministries and representatives from various business associations.

At the Cabinet meeting on May 5, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the COVID-19 pandemic has been pushed back in Viet Nam, allowing the country to restart the economy along with continued efforts in the fight against the pandemic.

The Governnment discussed a draft resolution which covers measures to support business recovery, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital as the country has entered the ”new normal”.

According to a recent survey by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, up to 85.7% of businesses have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

About 47.2% of the respondents said their businesses could not export products, the survey showed.

Against that backdrop, the Government chief emphasized that the central and urgent task of ministries, agencies and localities is now to have concrete measures to promptly assist barriers faced by businesses so as not to let administrative procedures hinder development.
