Central Steering Committee for eradication of temporary, dilapidated houses set up
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has decided to set up the Central Steering Committee for eradication of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Chairman of the the Central Steering Committee for eradication of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide
The Steering Committee shall be led by Prime Minister as the Chairman.
Vice Chairmen of the Steering Committee include: President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.
Members of the Steering Committee are: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Nguyen Thi Hong, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Hau A Lenh, Chairman of the Commission for Management of State Capital Invested at Enterprises, General Director of the Viet Nam Television Le Ngoc Quang, General Director of the Voice of Viet Nam Do Tien Sy, General Director of the Viet Nam News Agency, Vice President and Secretary General of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh.
The Steering Committee shall assist the Prime Minister in handling important, interdisciplinary work related to eradication of temporay and dilapidated houses across the nation.
The Steering Committee shall be responsible for putting forward concrete solutions and measures to achieve the goal of eradicating all temporary and dilapidated houses by Deceember 31, 2025.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall be the standing agency of the Steering Committee.
The Government estimated that around 170,000 houses need to be rebuilt for people with meritorious service to the revolution, for beneficiaries of the three national target programs, and for poor and near-poor households./.
