
President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai
Bui Thi Minh Hoai was born on January 12, 1965 in Thanh Tan Commune, Thanh Liem District, the northern province of Ha Nam (now Ninh Binh province).
She became an alternate member of the Party Central Committee at the 10th National Party Congress (2006) and a full member at the 11th National Party Congress (2011).
Bui served as the Standing Deputy Head of the Viet Nam Farmers' Association, the Standing Deputy Head of the Party's Central Inspection Commission, and the Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization.
She was elected to the Politburo at the 9th Plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee on May 16, 2024.
On May 17, 2024, she was assigned by the Politburo as Secretary of the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee.
The Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) is a broad political coalition that plays a crucial role in Viet Nam's political system. The VFF unites various political and social organizations, religious groups, and individuals from different classes and ethnicities to promote national solidarity. It serves as a bridge between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), the State, and the people.
VFF is charge of building and strengthening national unity among all classes, ethnicities, and religions; mobilizing the people to implement Party and State policies; supervising and providing social feedback on laws, policies, and the performance of officials and public agencies; encouraging patriotic movements and participation in socio-economic development and organizing elections, particularly overseeing candidacy and voter engagement for the National Assembly and People's Councils.
The VFF Central Committee currently has seven Vice Presidents: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha who is also Secretary-General of the VFF Central Committee; Ha Thi Nga, Head of the Central Committee for Relief Mobilization; Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor; Luong Quoc Doan, President of the Viet Nam Farmers' Union; Nguyen Thi Tuyen, President of the Viet Nam Women's Union; Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; and Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, President of the Viet Nam War Veterans' Association./.
