Over 3,000 Buddhist woodblocks, made in the early 14th century by monks, are still preserved at the pagoda in Yen Dung District, one of the most ancient Buddhist training centers in Viet Nam.

At the ceremony, Bac Giang’s vestiges of the base of an early 20th-century uprising against the French colonialists by Hoang Hoa Tham was also certified by the Government as a special national historical site.

The Government has also recognized 16 communes in Hiep Hoa District as the 2nd revolutionary base where many senior officials of the Party sheltered during the anti-French resistance war.
