"Blue beret" doctors celebrated Vietnamese Doctors' Day in South Sudan

VGP - Officials and staff of Viet Nam's Level 2 Field Hospital Rotation 4 of the UN Mission conducted a civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) activity in Bentiu, South Sudan, on the occasion of the 68th Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955-2023).

Vietnamese "blue beret" physicians working far from their homeland have volunteered to help and support the local Hospital and patients in the locality.

During the program, the Hospital provided local residents with medical examination and treatment, gifts, necessities and medicines. They also prepared medical equipment and sanitiser to present to local inhabitants.

Although the number of patients was huge, exceeding the Hospital's expectations, all the nurses and doctors were still considerate and careful, giving advice and dispensing medication for each patient.

Lieutenant Colonel Do Thi Hang Nga, Deputy Military Director of Level 2 Field Hospital No. 4, said the Director of Bentiu General Hospital expressed his deep gratitude to Level 2 Field Hospital No. 4 and wished the Hospital's members the best on the occasion of February 27.

Besides, the patients and people of the Bentiu area expressed their deep gratitude for the sincere and warm feelings of the Vietnamese "blue beret" soldiers.

Professional medical and healthcare activities for the Mission have always been considered a central task and continuously achieved success.

This enhances the prestige of the doctors and nurses of Level 2 Field Hospital No. 4 and leaves good impressions of Vietnamese people on international friends./.
