Biggest crude oil tanker launched

VGP – The Dung Quất Shipyard on Sunday launched the biggest crude oil tanke ever built in Việt Nam.

The ever biggest crude oil tanker built by the Dung Quất Shipyard

The 104,000 DWT tanker is designed to be 245m long, 43m wide, and 20m high.

The event marked a turning point in Việt Nam’s shipbuilding industry as this is the first time Vietnamese engineers build such a big tanker that gained recognition as international standard by ABS.

The tanker is expected to be handed over to PV Trans-an affiliate of the PetroVietnam by March next year.
