Anh Vien wins silver medal at FINA World Cup

VGP - Viet Nam’s top female swimmer, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, won silver medal at the women’s 400 individual medley category at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Cup 2015 in Moscow, Russia on August 12.

Joining the competition with six other athletes, Anh Vien finished the race at a time of 4:40.79 minutes to secure a silver medal.

It is the first time a Vietnamese athlete gains a silver medal at the FINA World Cup.

Earlier on August 11, Anh Vien won a bronze medal at the women’s 200m individual medley event. She brought glory to Viet Nam’s swimming history within the recent two days.

She will arrive in France to attend the FINA/airweave Swimming World Cup 2015 from August 15-16.
