Agribank opens first branch in Cambodia

Cambodian Standing Deputy PM Men Sam On, Vice Governor of Cambodia’s State Bank Chan Thalnar and Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam Nguyễn Văn Giàu attended the opening ceremony.

Agribank opened its representative office in Cambodia in 2005, signed cooperation agreements with several Cambodian partners, and successfully launched border trade payment services to back businesses of the two countries, Chairman of Agribank’s Board of Directors Nguyễn Thế Bình said at the ceremony.

The debut of the Agribank branch in Cambodia proves that the Việt Nam-Cambodia economic and trade relations are flourishing, the Cambodian Government’s investment attraction policies appropriate and foreign investors’ trust in Cambodia’s business environment increasing, Standing Deputy PM Men Sam On said.

On the occasion, Agribank donates the Cambodian Government US $100,000 which will be spent on social activities.
