Additional 73,934 COVID-19 cases confirmed

In addition, the Department of Health of the central province of Nghe An reported additional 53,858 infection cases, raising the COVID-19 count on Friday to 73,934 and Viet Nam's national caseload to 10,394,533.

The same day, there were 6,417 new recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 8,863,044, said the ministry.

It also announced further 23 fatalities, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 42,924 or 0.4 percent of the national patient tally.

The nation has administered 209,101,297 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 134,082 doses from Thursday./.
