Additional 2,704 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

VGP - The Ministry of Health reported 2,704 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, raising the national caseload to 11,382,258.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from March 1-August 20, 2022

The same day, there were additional 6,395 patients declared free of the virus, taking the total number of recoveries at 10,062,585.

The ministry also announced further one fatality, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,104 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.

The nation has administered  254,094,637 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of  696,048 doses from Friday./.
