3.5 million tourists flock to Quang Ninh in five months

VGP - Quang Ninh welcomed some 3.5 million tourists in the first five months of this year, up 6% on-year, and gained tourism revenue of nearly VND 1.9 trillion, up 7%, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Specifically, Quang Ninh received over 1 million foreign visitors, up 5%. In May alone, the province received 400,000 tourists and earned VND 390 billion.

The Hạ Long - Quang Ninh 2012 Tourism Week and the ceremony on receiving the title “Ha Long Bay - the World’s New Natural Wonder” were successfully held, leaving fine impressions on local people and foreign tourists.
