14,508 new COVID-19 cases added to national tally

The national tally includes 1,247,358 locally transmitted cases documented since April 27 when the 4^th COVID-19 wave began.

The same day, the ministry reported 2,704 fresh recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 992,052.

The ministry also announced additional 196 fatalities, bringing the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 25,448, representing 2 percent of the national caseload.

The nation has administered 123,442,920 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 1,348,139 doses from Tuesday./.
