Cementing ties with Ningbo’s enterprises

Việt Nam’s business climate has got better in the recent years and Ningbo’s business circle is eager to shake hands with Vietnamese peers, said Mr. Mao Guanglie, Mayor of the Chinese locality.

In 2009, the Việt Nam-Ningbo trade turnover stood at US $330 million, up 47%. As of the first three months of 2010, around 30 Ningbo enterprises set up business or representative offices in Việt Nam with about US $60 million in capital.

The figures are fairly modest compared to the fine political and friendly ties as well as the huge advantages and strong aspiration of the two countries, remarked PM Dũng.

The Vietnamese PM took the occasion to highlight the trade and investment potentials and opportunities in Việt Nam as well as the Vietnamese Government’s desire for better comprehensive linkages with China in general, Zhejiang Province and Ningbo in particular.
