Vietnamese citizen infected with new coronavirus in South Korea

VGP - South Korea’s authorities have reported that a Vietnamese citizen living in Daegu City, a Covid-19 epicenter, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The news was also confirmed by a Vietanamese diplomat working at the Embassy in Seoul hours ago.

The identity of the patient has not been revealed, but the South Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention has sent the patient's details to Viet Nam's Ministry of Health in accordance with international regulations, the Viet Nam News Agency reported.

The Vietnamese embassy has asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea and relevant Korean agencies to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese citizen in receiving treatment.
