The CAAV also requested airlines to continue reducing frequency of flights from/to cities and provinces currently placed under social distancing.

Last month, the Authority asked carriers to minimize the number of air routes from localities undergoing social distancing to Ha Noi while only two return flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi are allowed per week.

All passengers on domestic passengers are required to have certificate of negative COVID-19 test result.

Viet Nam confirmed 449,489 COVID-19 cases as of August 30, of which 445,291 are domestic infections recorded in 62 cities and provinces since the fourth COVID-19 wave began in late April.

Ho Chi Minh City is the epicenter of the current COVID-19 wave with 215,821 cases, followed by Binh Duong (110,258), Dong Nai (23,132), Long An (21,459), and Tien Giang (9,438)./.
