President arrives in Moscow, beginning official visit to Russia

VGP - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Moscow on November 29 afternoon (local time), starting his four-day official visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The official visit aims to strengthen Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership in all spheres as well as affirms the efforts in the COVID-19 fight, especially in the research and production of vaccines and treatment drugs – Photo: VNA

The bilateral trade value achieved US$ 4.85 billion in 2020, up 9 percent against in 2019, and reached US$3.6 billion in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 5 percent. As of April 2021, Russian poured US$944 million in 144 projects in Viet Nam, ranking 25th among countries and territories investing in the country. Meanwhile, Viet Nam had invested in over 20 projects worth nearly US$3 billion in Russia.
